Giving Back One Book at a Time: B Beautiful Raises Funds for Ray of Light

Anne Swallow our Community Project Co-Ordinator works part time and also volunteers for Ray of Light Cancer Support too.  She had a brilliant idea to collaborate with our local community to support Ray of Light Cancer Support. Anne’s enthusiasm and creativity have brought about a fantastic partnership with the local hair salon B Beautiful in Gabalfa, Cardiff.

Together, they organised a book sale, with Manager Louise and Stylist Maria generously offering their support. This collaboration has been nothing short of amazing. The community rallied together to purchase books and the funds have been used towards refreshments on our Summer Trips, Easter Eggs and Christmas selection boxes.

The success of this initiative is a testament to the incredible power of community, kindness, and the unwavering dedication of support. We are deeply grateful to Anne for her innovative idea and to Louise and Maria for their generous contribution for their overwhelming support.

This inspiring venture not only has raised funds for our cause but also brought the community closer together. It is heart-warming to see what can be achieved when we work together towards a common goal.
