Just ASK!
Welcome to our Access Support and Kindness initiative, aiming to provide emotional and practical support to anyone affected by someone else’s cancer diagnosis.
Group working is central to our provision and we believe there are huge benefits of meeting with other people in a similar position. There is no expectation that you will talk about your loved one’s cancer or your experience, but knowing that you are not alone can be hugely helpful. If you want to, our groups allow you to share your feelings and experiences to support yourself and others.
Joining a group enables you to enjoy a different focus or learn a new skill to build strength and resilience, or simply to escape into a different headspace with the added benefit of peer support.
Due to Covid-19, most of our groups are currently online, but as soon as we safely can we will be running groups in person. These will be in Cardiff expanding upon our existing services, and in the Rhondda Valley, introducing much needed services in an area where there are gaps in provision.
For more information and to sign up for our online groups please see the links below. If you have any questions, or would like to suggest any groups or activities, please contact sue@rayoflightwales.org.uk.
