Whether you are currently undergoing treatment, caring for someone with cancer, or have experienced the loss of a loved one, we are here to provide the companionship and the support you need.
Our Telephone Befriending Service is delivered by a dedicated team of compassionate and trained volunteers and team members who understand the challenges faced by those affected by cancer. Our team undergo thorough training, empowering them with the necessary knowledge and skills to be attentive listeners and empowering sources of support.
By matching our volunteers and team members with individuals affected by cancer, we ensure that those seeking companionship and understanding are able to connect with someone who can empathise with their unique journey. Through regular phone calls, our volunteers offer a listening ear, a friendly conversation, and a safe space to share thoughts and emotions without judgment.
The experience of cancer can often lead to feelings of isolation, despair and loneliness, as individuals navigate through this new reality. Our Befriending Service is designed to provide a lifeline of support for those who need us.
